ACTNews, BANDA ACEH, LHOKSEUMAWE, MANADO – Less than a month to Ramadan, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) keeps intensifying its acts of kindness through its branch offices to invite people to build good habits before Ramadan and maintain them afterward.

In Banda Aceh, the local ACT branch along with the Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) volunteers held activities in the field of Blang Padang to welcome the month of Ramadan Ramadan. They held a charity sale and free clinic for the locals.

"Each region certainly has different traditions in welcoming Ramadan, but the goal must be the same, namely to prepare our body and soul so that when the holy month arrives, we are all ready to make the best of it. Hopefully, after the month is over, all the good deeds that we have gotten used to can continue,” said the ACT Aceh Branch Manager Ryanda Putra.

One of the events held in Blang Padang Field is the charity sale. The proceeds from the sales of the clothing will be used to fund humanitarian programs such as food distribution and waqf wells for Palestine.

On Friday (4/3/2022), the ACT branch in Aceh had held a launch event for the 'Kan Ramadhan' campaign in which food packages were given away to the poor.

“We distributed mung bean porridge to passers-by in front of the ACT Aceh branch office just before sunset. We chose to distribute food at this time because we want to enliven the occasion of iftar. We also gave away staple food packages to the poor. This action is eagerly awaited by the residents because the prices of basic necessities have soared ahead of Ramadan," added Randa.

In the city of Lhokseumawe, ACT gave away meals to passers-by during the launch of the “Kan Ramadhan” campaign. It also aimed at reminding the community that Ramadan is around the corner.

Not only in Banda Aceh and Lhokseumawe, the 'Kan Ramadhan' launch ceremony was also held by the ACT Manado branch. At Al-Azhiim Mosque, Mapanget, the event involved the distribution of food packages to the poor.

"One month before Ramadan, we launched the 'Kan Ramadhan' campaign as an invitation to kindness," said the ACT Manado Branch Manager Budianto Tangahu.[]
