ACTNews, GAZA - Another waqf well from Indonesian benefactors is built in Al Nusairat, Gaza, Palestine. The well supplies water for 1,570 families who haven’t been able to access clean water. Al Nusairat is one of the poor cities with a large population in the Gaza Strip due to the absence of its developmental projects. So far, the residents of Al Nusairat lack water supply for their daily needs.

The lack of clean water in Al Nusariat forced the residents to buy water or fetch them from water wells that are far away from residential areas. The Waqf Wells are built by Aksi Cepat Tanggap in this area to respond to this condition.

Said Mukaffiy from Global Humanity Response-ACT explained that the well in Al Nusairat was built from February 15 to March 7. The water source was constructed using advanced pipe technology with a depth of 52 meters with 40,000 liters per hour capacity.

“Hopefully, with the presence of this well, the need for water during Ramadan can be fulfilled,” said Said. In the future, Aksi Cepat Tanggap is still going to build wells in several locations in Gaza. []
