ISLANDS REGENCY – Assistance for residents affected by the earthquake in
the Selayar Islands Regency continues to be provided. To boost the economic
recovery of the earthquake-hit communities, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) disbursed
capital assistance to ten female business owners.
Firman from Global
Wakaf - ACT South Sulawesi Branch said that the earthquake has caused a dire
impact on the residents’ lives. The disaster damaged not only their houses but
also their sources of livelihood. Hence, they need not only food and psychosocial
assistance during the emergency period but also business assistance during the
recovery period.
“Through business
capital assistance, we truly hope that their economy will soon improve,” said
Firman.
The ten women that received the capital assistance run small businesses that were severely affected by the earthquake“We are very grateful for the business assistance. We can go back to business to make our ends meet,” said one of the beneficiaries.
More assistance
for the earthquake victims in Selayar Islands Regency will be provided. Hence,
