ACTNews, TANAH DATAR – First in West Sumatra, especially in Tanah Datar Regency, Global Waqf-ACT extends the kindness of benefactors to farmers in the land of Minang. Nagari Batu Basa became the first area to receive waqf from Generous Friends on Tuesday (12/22/2021).
Deni Marlesi, Branch Manager of ACT Bukittinggi, stated that Global Wakaf-ACT distributed capital assistance to farmers through the Productive Agricultural Waqf program. The funds were from benefactors. The value will not decrease but rather increase in blessing because it supports the productive sector.
"Hopefully, through Productive Agricultural Waqf, farmers will be liberated from the clutches of moneylenders," said Deni.
A warm welcome came from the farmers and Head of Batu Basa Village, Jalinus. He expressed his gratitude for the Productive Agricultural Waqf program in Nagari Batu Basa. He hopes that through the program supported by benefactors, the residents can prosper, and even extend the benefits.
Iqbal Ramadi, Regional Secretary of Tanah Datar Regency, stated that what Global Wakaf-ACT presented was in line with the local government's program to eradicate moneylenders, particularly in the agricultural sector.
“We appreciate Global Wakaf-ACT’s program. Hopefully, it can help the farming community,” he said.
