ACTNews, SPECIAL
REGION OF YOGYAKARTA – Parjiyanti has been racking her brain to develop her
laundry. Despite having no washing machines, she runs the laundry to provide an
additional income for her family.
“My husband works at
a wood processing plant. I opened the laundry to help support my two
children," said Parjiyanti when Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Yogyakarta met
her at her house in Prawirodirjan Village, Gondomanan District, Special Region
of Yogyakarta, Saturday (9/25/2021).
Though her capital
is limited, she is determined to make her business grow.
To boost
Parjiyanti's spirit, Global Wakaf-ACT provided her with business capital assistance
through Waqf for MSMEs program with the hope that Parjiyanti’s laundry can run
smoothly.
“Alhamdulillah, I
hope that I can buy a washing machine with assistance from Global Wakaf –
ACT. For now, I want to buy a scale to weigh the laundry,” explained
Parjiyanti.
Global Wakaf - ACT
also provided assistance for two other beneficiaries in Prawirodirjan Village
that day. []
