ACTNews,  ACEH BESAR REGENCY – Global Zakat-ACT has once again distributed food packages to assist teachers in remote parts of Indonesia. This time, Global Zakat-ACT team distributed assistance to a teacher in Jantho Makmur Village, Jantho City District, Aceh Besar District.

Masni teaches at a junior high school in Jantho Makmur as an honorary teacher. She has worked as an honorary teacher for four years. However, the income from honorary teachers is insufficient to meet her needs.

"In addition to teaching, I have other sources of income. I work as a farmer to fulfill my needs,” explained Masni to Global Zakat-ACT Aceh Besar team on Wednesday (2/9/2022).

Serving as a teacher is a noble task for Masni, but she hopes that the future of honorary teachers will improve. "I hope that more parties will care about the fate of teachers and provide the best programs to address our needs," Masni hoped.

On this occasion, she also expressed gratitude to the donors who had assisted her through the Friends of Indonesian Teachers program. "Hopefully, Allah will multiply the help of these benefactors," Masni said. []
