Hastuti's Wish to Renovate a House which is also a Quran Center

For a dozen years, Hastuti has been a Quran teacher for the children around her house. Her house is simple. Therefore, Hastuti wants to renovate her home. Unfortunately, she lacks money.

ACTNews, GOWA – Being a farmer is Hastuti's (44) choice as a way to earn a living. With a garden owned by his deceased parents, Hastuti cultivates crops. The income is small, and Hastuti often reaps losses. However, she never gives up and keeps trying.

Hastuti also wishes to renovate her house from farming. The house is not just a place to live, but also a place for her students to recite the Quran.

Apart from being a farmer, Hastuti is a Quran teacher for children around her house in Pandanga Hamlet, Bontolempangan Village, Gowa Regency. She has been a teacher for 13 years. Hastuti expects no reward from this activity. She only hopes to produce a young generation who understands and loves the Quran and Islam.

“In this hamlet, the majority of parents work as farmers with uncertain income. My goal to be a Quran teacher is not to ask for a reward. What motivates me to teach the Quran is the tenacity of the students in reciting verse by verse of the Quran,” said Hastuti.

Joint Effort

Currently, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) South Sulawesi is raising awareness to build a place to live and a Quran Learning Center for Hastuti. This fundraiser is conducted through the Indonesia Dermawan website. Hopefully, within the next 42 days, funds can be collected and immediately implemented to support this religious education.

"We will do this good work together. We ask for the support and prayers of all the benefactors so that Mrs. Hastuti's students can enjoy more appropriate recitation facilities," said Firman from the ACT South Sulawesi Program team, Thursday (18/11/2021).[]
