ACTNews, JERUSALEM - The holy city of Jerusalem has always been the center of the Israel-Palestine conflict. For many Palestinians in Jerusalem, it’s not always easy to fulfill their need for food because their movement is restricted.
Said Mukaffiy of Global Humanity Response - Aksi Cepat Tanggap stated that the struggle of the Palestinian people to defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque must continue to be supported. One of the forms of support is the provision of basic necessities. "The need for healthy and nutritious food must be met because their access to food is limited," emphasized Said.
Said continued, it is an obligation to support the struggle of the Palestinians to defend Al-Quds. In early February, another meal distribution took place in Jerusalem. ACT’s public kitchen produced nutritious meal packages aiming at meeting the healthy food needs of Palestinians in Jerusalem for Palestinians around Al-Aqsa Mosque.
"The meal packages produced and distributed by ACT's Indonesian Public Kitchen consisted of bread, rice, grilled chicken, fruit, yogurt, mineral water, and fruit juice. As many as 590 families or 2,950 people benefitted from this meal distribution,” added Said.
Said also explained that the beneficiaries were poverty-stricken residents, orphans, and widows. "Although the meal distribution cannot be carried out freely and massively, Alhamdulillah it went on smoothly, right on target," concluded Said.
