ACTNews, SOUTH JAKARTA – In Indonesia, the Omicron variant of Covid-19 is becoming more common. On Saturday (1/8/2020), 414 people had been confirmed positive for the Omicron variant of Covid-19. The general public must be vigilant To avoid contracting this variant.
The Omicron spreads faster than the typical Covid-19. Therefore, ACT's Humanity Medical Services (HMS) team has increased its readiness to serve the community.
Dr. Arini Retno Palupi, Director of HMS-ACT, states that the HMS-ACT team has launched medical telecommunications services for the community. The public can use the service by dialing 021-2940-7165.
"During the Covid-19 period, the Covid-19 Medical Careline Services will continue to operate to serve people who require medical services. The service is available from 07.00 a.m till 09.00 p.m Western Indonesia Time, every day," said Dr. Arini on Tuesday (1/11/2022).
According to Dr. Arini, the public can use the telecommunication service for medical consultations and medicine delivery. If the patient's condition needs additional medical treatment, a doctor will visit the patient. “After the visit, the doctor will determine whether the patient should be referred to a hospital or treated as an outpatient at home," she explained.
HMS-ACT provides ambulances to transport patients to hospitals or patients infected with the Omicron variant of Covid-19 to the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran. HMS-ACT hopes the ambulance service can improve public access to hospitals. "This service is free for those who cannot afford it. Hopefully, we can handle the Omicron variant together," she concluded.
