ACTNews, MAGETAN – Global Wakaf-ACT gets ready for the upcoming Eid ul-Adha. The acquisition of Qurbani animals is still being worked on so that the upcoming Qurbani can benefit the community the most. One of them is the development of the Waqf-based Livestock Barn (LTW) program.
One of these barns can be found in Magetan Regency. "Approximately 230 sheep consist of 210 mothers and 20 kids," said Angga, one of the managers of the Magetan LTW in Kentangan Hamlet, Wates Village, Panekan District, Magetan Regency, on Wednesday (5/18/2022).
Although it is still two months away, the preparation of sheep for Qurbani animals will begin immediately. The Global Wakaf-ACT Team wants to prepare the best Qurbani animals for Generous Friends. Hence, the care and management of these sheep are becoming more stringent.

"Alhamdulillah, we do excellent care for the 230 sheep in the Magetan LTW. We are focused on food, hygiene, and livestock health," explained Angga, who has worked in the livestock industry for several years.
Unlike the previous treatment, the Magetan LTW uses complete feed animal feed, a feed formulation made from foraged ingredients, agricultural waste, and concentrate mixed. In terms of hygiene, the caretaker bathes the livestock every two weeks to refresh their bodies.
The most important factor is one's health. Angga and his team always check every sick or healthy livestock to be separated. They do not forget to include antibiotics, vitamins, and special drugs for sick goats.
"Alhamdulillah, even though Mouth and Nail Disease (FMD) is currently affecting livestock, the animals from the Magetan LTW are certainly FMD-free," Angga explained.
The earnestness of the LTW Magetan management indicates that Global Wakaf-ACT is ready to provide the best Qurbani animals to the community so that people can get the best Qurbani animals.
