ACTNews, JAKARTA – Humanity Food Bus of Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) was launched last week. Thousands of meal packages have been produced from the bus which is completed with various modern cooking utensils inside. The vehicle is deployed to assist underprivileged people who have difficulty in fulfilling their food needs amid the pandemic.

On Thursday (7/22/2021), the 12 meters vehicle visited Pasar Induk Kramat Jati, East Jakarta. Hundreds of delicious and nutritious meal packages were distributed on the occasion. The beneficiaries were sellers and other casual workers in the market.

Alhamdulillah, we have distributed hundreds of meal packages from ACT’s Humanity Food Bus. The distribution targets people who work in the biggest fruit market in Indonesia including porters, parking attendants, cleaning service workers, and security. The meal is tasty and nutritious. It has become ACT’s standard to serve people who need assistance during Emergency PPKM,” said Wuryanto from ACT East Jakarta Program Team.

Wuryanto explains that for Free Meal Operation, not only Humanity Food Bus but the action also uses all of ACT’s Humanity Food Trucks to distribute thousands of meal packages made by professional cooks of ACT.

“To make Free Meal Operation a success, we cannot do it by ourselves. In each of our actions, volunteers also take part in the effort to fight hunger in the community. Generous Benefactors can also help. Through your best alms, we carry out this action today. Hopefully, your assistance can continue to flow so that this action will not stop here and continue for the following days. Insha Allah, it will be a blessing," concluded Wuryanto.[]
