ACTNews, WEST PASAMAN – After stopping in Padang and Bukittinggi, the Humanity Food Bus continued its journey and arrived in West Pasaman on Tuesday (10/19/2021) to distribute meal packages This bus with a kitchen assembled by Laksana's body, Ungaran, held a free meal service in West Pasaman.
The first Humanity Food Bus meal distribution that was also the launch ceremony of the Humanity Food Bus in West Pasaman was held in the courtyard of the West Pasaman Regent's Office. The launch ceremony was also attended by the Indonesian Red Cross and Scout. The Humanity Food Bus team immediately cooked the meal packages. The visitors had an opportunity to watch the cooking process.
“This is a very good collaboration. We really support this kind of action,” said the Regent of West Pasaman Hamsuardi, who was present at the launch of the Humanity Food Bus in West Pasaman with his deputy, Risnawanto.
Branch Manager of ACT West Pasaman Gatoet Kesuma said Humanity Food Bus is ACT’s newest humanitarian vehicle to support free meal distributions. This bus functions as a mobile, fully-equipped kitchen.
“In one cooking, thousands of meal packages can be served to the community. The food is a tangible manifestation of the generosity that ACT has channeled,” he explained.
