ACTNews, TANGERANG REGENCY – The spirit of kindness that never subsides continues to be present for the community. Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) team with Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) volunteers in Tangerang Regency delivered ready-to-eat meals to residents in Bencongan Village, Kelapa Dua District. In this area, there are still many impoverished people amid urban progress.
On Saturday (10/9/2021), ACT and MRI, supported by Humanity Food Truck, visited people in Bencongan. The team distributed 300 ready-to-eat meals to impoverished residents who work as scavengers and daily workers.
Suryanto, Head of Volunteer ACT Tangerang Regency, said the action was one of ACT's efforts supported by Generous Friends to overcome the impact of the pandemic.
“This action is still going on even though the Humanity Food Truck was unable to reach the distribution location due to the narrowness of the road. We use smaller vehicles to reach the destination,” explained Suryanto.
Humanity Food Truck action in Bencongan was one of the actions that were held with one of the four kitchen trucks from ACT. In the North Sumatra-Aceh region, Humanity Food Truck carried out a similar action for the community. Meanwhile, Humanity Food Bus, the newest kitchen fleet from ACT, is also continuing its good journey in West Sumatra.[]
