ACTNews, JAKARTA – Many residents on Jalan Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, seemed excited at the arrival of Humanity Food Truck - Aksi Cepat Tanggap. It was the first time for some of them to see the mobile truck on Tuesday (6/15/2021).

Hundreds of delicious dishes were distributed to the underprivileged residents on that day. The meals were not only distributed near the Humanity Food Truck but also delivered directly to the recipients' houses.

ACT South Jakarta Branch Manager M Luqman explains Humanity Food Truck always pays attention to taste and nutrition when serving dishes. On Tuesday, the team cooked nutritionally balanced dishes. "The provided dishes include soy sauce chicken, vegetables, and tempeh. All ingredients are cooked well. We also have a professional head chef," said Luqman.

The residents of Mampang welcomed this food aid. Dina (34), a mother of four children who lives in a small rented house, expressed her gratitude. “Alhamdulillah, this meal package helped us. If possible, I want this activity to be held every day. It also means that there are still people who care about us. I hope ACT and benefactors will be blessed,” said Dina with a small laugh after receiving a Humanity Food Truck meal.

For Dina, this meal package was very meaningful. Her family has not been able to eat nutritious food for a long time. Dina's husband is a former security guard at a company in Jakarta who was laid off due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

To fulfill the daily needs, including food,  Dina's husband works as an online motorcycle taxi driver. However, because of the lack of passengers, his income is small. Dina's family also prefers to save money by eating simple foods. "Most often eggs with soy sauce. Alhamdulillah, my children are not like other children. They rarely asked for snacks. They understand with the condition of their parents," said Dina.[]
