ACTNews, IDLIB – After three months of assembly, Humanity Food Truck for Syria began operating on Monday (6/28/2021). It is the first unit that was specifically modified to make ready-to-eat meals for Syrian IDPs. In its first duty, Humanity Food Truck distributed 500 meal packages to the IDPs in Kafr Takharim, Idlib.

The dishes consisted of delicious mandhi rice with chicken which was cooked by a special cook in the 5-meter truck. Just like its Indonesian counterparts, this Humanity Food Truck in Syria is also equipped with modern cooking utensils. It also has an electric generator and a one-meter cubic capacity of a water tank.

Said Mukaffiy from Global Humanity Response - ACT explained that the assembly of this truck began on April 12, 2021. “The finishing process was faster than what we expected which was in July. This food truck can cook 500 meal packages each day,” said Said.

The Syrian IDPs were very enthusiastic about the Humanity Food Truck when it visited their residential camps. The children and adults lined up to receive the delicious and nutritious meal packages.

Nutritious dishes have been a luxury for the Syrians. The prolonged crisis in Syria has caused the food price to soar. The IDPs who don’t have enough money can only try hard to endure their hunger.

Insha Allah, Humanity Food Truck Syria will distribute meal packages throughout Idlib including the IDPs camps and areas that barely receive humanitarian aid,” added Said.

Said encouraged all of the Generous Benefactors to be able to keep giving their best assistance so that the Humanity Food Truck can continue to distribute nutritious meals to the Syrians. “If the assistance can continuously flow, we can build another unit of Humanity Food Truck in the future,” concluded Mukaffiy.[]
