Humanity Food Truck Distributes Meal Packages at Several Points in Manado

From Wednesday (12/1/2021) to Friday (12/3/2021), Aksi Cepat Tanggap had distributed thousands of meal packages to residents at several points in Manado.

ACTNews, MANADO – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT)’s Humanity Food Truck recently made a stop at several locations in Manado City, South Sulawesi, as part of their Sulawesi Tour. The mobile kitchen distributed free meal packages from Wednesday (12/2/2021) to Friday (12/3/2021).

Over a thousand meal packages were distributed to Harapan Bunda Islamic Integrated School in Buha Village, Mapanget District, then in the Pasar 45 area, North Wenang Village, Wenang District, and at the Al-Adzim Mosque in Mapanget District.

Yori, one of the beneficiaries who is a farmer in Buha Village, expressed his thankfulness for the free meal packages. "I'm happy, of course. During the Covid-19 pandemic, this free meal package is very helpful so that I don’t have to pay for lunch,” he said.

The meal distribution in Manado is part of Humanity Food Truck’s tour in Sulawesi. The main objective is to provide free meals for the poor and needy in several cities in Sulawesi.

“The Humanity Food Truck visits Manado City to do an act of charity. It is designed to serve around a thousand meal packages to those in need,” said ACT Manado Branch Manager Budianto Tangahu

He invited the community to participate in providing meals for the needy through the movable kitchen. “Let’s contribute to this program to further spread kindness and generosity to our brothers and sisters in need. We hope that, with the support from Generous Friends, the Humanity Food Truck can further spread benefit to other areas in Indonesia,” he hoped.

In addition to Manado, the Humanity Food Truck also distributed meal packages to beneficiaries in Makassar, Mamuju, and Palu. []
