Humanity Food Truck Serves Iftar at Al Bayyan Orphanage Bekasi

A total of 300 servings of food were served by the Humanity Food Truck for the orphans and caretakers at Al Bayyan orphanage in Bekasi, Thursday (3/18/2021). The meal distribution is part of the National Food Alms Movement.

ACTNews, BEKASI REGENCY - Global Wakaf-ACT Bekasi Regency held a Free Meal Operation for the people of Srimahi Village, North Tambun District. The meal packages were produced by the Humanity Food Truck Team for the orphans and caretakers at Al Bayyan Islamic Boarding School. The meal packages were served for their iftar on Thursday (3/18/2021).

The head of the Al Bayyan Islamic Boarding School, Rokib, expressed his gratitude for the generosity of Global Wakaf-ACT for the orphanage. "Thank you donors for this nutritious meal packages. Hopefully, in the future, more acts of kindness will continue to assist these orphans,” he said.

Erwin Wijaya of ACT Bekasi Regency Program Department explained that one of the distribution locations for the Free Meal Operation - National Food Alms Movement was Al Bayyan Orphanage because it desperately needs assistance.

“This Islamic education institution has a kindergarten where children can study for free. Parents can pay voluntarily. However, during the pandemic, the children no longer attend the classes. With this event, we aim to attract many donors to help provide assistance to Al Bayyan orphanage," said Erwin. []
