Humanity Medical Services’ Ambulance on Standby at Cilandak Fire Location

ACT’s Humanity Medical Services team deployed their ambulance unit to the fire location that burned a supermarket on Jalan Cilandak KKO, South Jakarta, Tuesday (9/21/2021) night. On the other hand, a total of 25 fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the blazing fire.

ACTNews, SOUTH JAKARTA – AKsi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) through their Humanity Medical Services (HMS) team responded to the fire at Cahaya SUpermarket on Jalan Cilandak KKO near the Marine Command Headquarters, Ragunan Village, Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta, Tuesday (9/21/2021) night.

Alhamdulillah, we immediately went to the fire location that was thought to have occurred at 7 p.m. We were there to provide medical evacuation and carry out emergency actions to the victims. Our medical team was on standby until 10 p.m," said Dr. Bara Purnawan Putra, representative of Humanity Medical Services Team.

Dr. Bara added that ACT will continue to assist the community, especially in Disasterous Emergency actions. “Insha Allah, the ambulance would be our effort to help the victims with emergency medical services,” said Dr. Bara.

Furthermore, Satriadi Gunawan, Head of DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency, revealed that a total of 25 fire trucks from three cities including South Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and East Jakarta were deployed to extinguish the blazing fire.

“There are a total of 25 fire trucks with 120 fire personnel,” said Satriadi to the journalists.

Aside from a supermarket, fire also burned down the surrounding shops including cellphone and perfume shops with nothing left.

Meanwhile, the Police Chief of Pasar Minggu District, Kompol Bambang Handoko, explained that the cause of the fire has yet to be determined. He said that his team will conduct a fire scene investigation (TKP) after the burnt building is declared safe. "The fire scene investigation will be processed after the fire has been 100 percent extinguished and cold," said Bambang.[]
