ACTNews, COX’S BAZAR – Aksi Cepat Tanggap in collaboration with Global Ehsan Relief distributed 400 copies of Al-Qur’an to children at Durul Ihsan Islamic School located in Camp-5 and Darus Salam Islamic School in Camp-1, Kutupalong, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, Tuesday (4/13/2021).
The distribution was enthusiastically welcomed by the students. The students were given the Al-Qur’an copies in turn by ACT volunteers. Rohingya children did not have Al-Qur’an because they had to move repeatedly. Currently, Rohingya children receive non-formal education in the camp and they really need Al-Qur’an copies.
“Hopefully these Al-Qur’an copies can be used by Rohingya children as a means of increasing worship in Ramadan,” said Firdaus Guritno from ACT’s Global Humanity Response team, Wednesday (4/14/2021).
Firdaus added that the assistance for Rohingyas will continue to be sent in the form of food packages, iftar meals, and Eid gifts. According to Firdaus, all of this assistance would not have happened without the generosity of the Indonesian people.[]
