ACTNews, PEKANBARU, RUMBAI – Free Meal Operation expanded its benefits in Riau, Pekanbaru Kota District and Rumbai District. The meal package distribution on Friday (7/30/2021) was supported by ACT’s partners Kinoi Cake & Cookies and Kak Eci Makkah.

Impoverished residents, scavengers, street sweepers, parking attendants, street children, and vendors became the distribution targets of Free Meal Operation. Some of the recipients said that their job was affected by the pandemic. Since last year, their income has decreased and it’s difficult for them to afford proper food.

Alhamdulillah, there is a free meal distribution. This will be enough to save my food expense today,” said Incah, a Rumbai District resident.

Eka, the benefactor from Kinoi Cake & Cookies, was grateful for ACT’s help in facilitating and distributing her donation through Free Meal Operations. She hopes the program can continue to assist underprivileged residents in Riau. “I pray for ACT, the volunteers, and other benefactors to be given health and sustenance from Allah,” she said.[]
