Hundreds of Portions Served for Lhoksumawe Residents from Humanity Food Truck

Humanity Food Truck continues its tour on Sumatra Island. This time, Humanity Food Truck came to Lhoksemawe and distributed hundreds of ready-to-eat meals.

ACTNews, LHOKSEUMAWE – Amid Humanity Food Bus tour in West Sumatra, at the same time, Humanity Food Truck from Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) also held humanitarian actions in various locations from North Sumatra to Aceh. This kitchen truck served a total of thousands of ready-to-eat meals to the public for free.

Towards the last week of October, Humanity Food Truck arrived in North Aceh, which is part of ACT's Lhokseumawe Branch. One of the actions was held on Monday (18/10/2021) at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School, Nisam District, North Aceh Regency. Supported by Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) volunteers, Komunitas Cinta Al-Qur’an, and Komunitas Sedekah Sehari Seribu, the team distributed ready-to-eat meals to students and residents around Islamic boarding school.


On Tuesday (10/19/2021), Humanity Food Truck also held the same action in the courtyard of the Lhokseumawe Mayor's Office. In this action, the Deputy Mayor of Lhokseumawe Maksalmina attended and directly saw a humanitarian truck that had been traveling to various places in Indonesia.

"For two days, Humanity Food Truck held a free meal service in Lhokseumawe before continuing the action in other locations," explained Hidayatullah from ACT Lhokseumawe Program team.

In addition to students and residents, daily workers such as rickshaw drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers, and small sellers whose economies have been affected by the pandemic also enjoyed the meals from Humanity Food Truck.[]
