ACTNews, GAZA – Mahmoud Ibrahim Abdallah Lubbad is the driver of one of ACT's humanitarian vehicles in Gaza, the Humanity Food Truck. Ibrahim has been driving the Humanity Food Truck to send meal packages to several areas, from Beit Hanoun in the north to Rafah in the south, through Deir Al Balah, Al Maghazi, and Al Nusrait in the central region.
With Ibrahim sitting behind the wheel, the Humanity Food Truck in Palestine makes sure that the meal packages reach the beneficiaries. “ I am very proud and grateful to Allah for this chance,” said the former taxi driver.
Every time the Humanity Food Truck is distributing meal packages, Ibrahim and the team works from 7 a.m. to cook the food and distribute it until 6 p.m. Ibrahim also takes part in cooking, packaging, and distributing the meal packages.
“I pray that this Food Truck program can continue and be held every day and every moment. We also feel happiness when delivering ready-to-eat meals to people in need. We feel happy when we come to them,” added Ibrahim.
According to Ibrahim, the job as a Food Truck driver was very meaningful. As a taxi driver, this father of seven children did not have a steady income. He had also been unemployed like most Palestinians. With two of his family members suffering from disabilities, he must set aside some of his income to pay for his children's medical treatment. Now. by working as a Food Truck driver, Inshaallah, Ibrahim can meet the needs of his family and pay for his children's education.
