ACTNews, GARUT – The flash floods that hit two Garut sub-districts, Cisurupan and Cikajang, on Wednesday (2/23/2022), have left residents in mourning. The debris carried by flood currents was not completely clean, and residents' lives were still hampered.
Seeing the situation, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) and the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Garut provided humanitarian aid for flood survivors in two affected sub-districts. This action took place on Wednesday (3/2/2022).
"Thank you to IDI Garut for participating in this concern," said Mochamad Dani Ramdani, Branch Manager of ACT Garut.
ACT and IDI distributed aid in several villages in the two affected sub-districts. The team gave food packages to dozens of families.
Agus Nurjaman, the Head of Mekarsari Village in the Cikajang District, welcomed assistance from benefactors to his residents.
"We would like to thank all the benefactors who were involved in this activity on behalf of the village officers and residents," he said.
Residents affected by flash floods now require assistance in repairing damaged houses and public facilities, in addition to food assistance, according to Agus.[]
