ACTNews, TASIKMALAYA – Nurul Millah Islamic Boarding School is located in Sukanagara Street, Sindang Galih, Kahuripan Village, Tawang, Tasikmalaya. This school is a place for dozens of students to gain knowledge.

In 2016, this school was established out of concern for the education of orphans and underprivileged children. There were only three students when the school was first established. Now, 26 students from various family backgrounds study in Nurul Millah Islamic Boarding School.

“The age of students range from elementary to high school students. They study for free. 15 teachers try their best to meet the students' needs,” said Abu, one of the administrators in Nurul Millah Islamic Boarding School, Thursday (4/22/2021).

The spirit and the struggle of this Islamic Boarding School have encouraged Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) to pay a visit. In the second week of Ramadan, ACT came to enliven the atmosphere of the iftar there. ACT served iftar meals supported by Komunitas Ibu Profesional Tasikmalaya.

“ I would like to thank ACT, volunteers, and the benefactors for the assistance given to us. I wish everyone the best wishes,” said Abu.

The iftar packages from ACT are an extension of the benefits of the Ramadan Food Alms Movement driven by the generosity of the community. This movement targets Muslim students, underprivileged people, and casual workers during Ramadan. ACT will continue to facilitate assistance from the community until the end of the holy month.

“The Ramadan Food Alms Movement in Tasikmalaya started a few days before Ramadan. We also distribute Waqf Rice and Waqf Drinking Water apart from iftar packages,” said Fauzi Rizki Pratama from ACT Tasikmalaya Program team.[]
