ACTNews, PEKANBARU – To support the officers at Emergency PPKM checkpoints, Global Wakaf-ACT Riau distributed Waqf Drinking Water in Pekanbaru City. The distribution was carried out on Thursday (7/29/2021) night.

Muhammad Zuhri, Head of Volunteer ACT Riau, explained that the distribution of Waqf Drinking Water was carried out at three checkpoints: at the school intersection, in front of the Pekanbaru Mall, and the Imam Munandar intersection.

"This assistance is expected to be useful for the officers so that water intake while on duty is maintained. Insha Allah, in the future, we will continue to supply assistance to residents affected by Emergency PPKM and the officers on duty, while stocks are available," said Zuhri.

Zuhri says the support will continue because PPKM continues to be extended to reduce the number of Covid-19 infections. "Therefore, Global Wakaf-ACT Team together with Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) are committed to cooperating and supporting the government in overcoming the pandemic and helping people in need," he said.

Andi, one of the officers on duty from the Indonesian National Police, expressed his gratitude for the assistance of Waqf Drinking Water provided by Global Wakaf-ACT. According to him, drinking water is very important amid their busy activities.

“Thank you for the assistance provided by Global Wakaf-ACT to officers in checkpoints. Insha Allah, the on-duty officers will maximize it," said Andi. []
