ACTNews, GAZA – Iftar meals from Indonesian benefactors had become a blessing for Palestinian people. Thousands of meal packages were delivered by Aksi Cepat Tanggap to those in Gaza and Jerusalem. The meal packages were served not only from the Indonesian Public Kitchen but also from the Humanity Food Truck.

At that time, 1,850 portions of food were served to the Palestinians in a day. Said Mukkafiy from Global Humanity Response-ACT team said that Iftar meals from ACT’s Humanity Food Truck in Palestine were targeting underprivileged families and orphans. The meal packages were not only distributed directly from the windows of the truck but also delivered directly to the beneficiaries' houses.

“With the help of Indonesian benefactors, we were able to serve nutritious meals. Food assistance was very meaningful for Palestinians because they could not afford to buy nutritious meals,” said Mukaffiy. Thursday (4/8/2021).

Moreover, ACT also distributed staple food packages to Palestinians through the Indonesian Humanitarian Center last Ramadan. Hundreds of staple food packages were distributed to several areas in Gaza Strip, namely Jabaliya Camp, Beit Lahya, Beit Hanoun, and Om Alnaser Village. Hundreds of families received these packages. They were families with disabilities and elderly members.

“This year, we will deliver more iftar packages and staple packages for the Palestinians. Hopefully, the number will be even more massive than last year,” added Mukaffiy.[]
