ACTNews, PONTIANAK CITY – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) continues to foster the spirit of solidarity during the COVID-19 pandemic through various humanitarian actions. One of the programs that ACT has initiated to continue supporting the needy is the Free Meal Operation.

On Wednesday (12/1/2021), ACT and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) West Kalimantan distributed tens of meal packages to informal workers in Sungai Jawi Luar Village.

Nircho Dwi Anggoro from ACT West Kalimantan stated that the Free Meal Operation targeted daily and informal workers to help alleviate their burden during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We hope that what we do with the support of Generous Benefactors can support daily workers. Most of them are the breadwinners of their families. Alhamdulillah, on this blessed occasion we had the opportunity to give away dozens of meal packages to passers-by who were daily workers. Many of them said that they had difficulty making ends meet during the pandemic,” said Nircho.

Nircho hoped that the community will continue showing support for the informal workers by contributing to ACT’s humanitarian programs that aim to support the poor and needy workers. []
