ACTNews, BANTUL – In strengthening the struggle of MSME owners amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Global Wakaf-ACT continues its endeavors such as by assisting Judi (42), an MSME owner who lives in Translok Padukuhan Karangrejek, Karangtengah Village, Imogiri District, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region, Friday (8/6/2021).

Every day, Judi makes a living by selling herbal beverages including wedang uwuh and empon-empon. “Yes, this is my business to support my wife’s and my children’s needs. Moreover, my three children are still so young and I need money to pay their tuition,”

Judi has faced many ups and downs during his five years selling herbal beverages. Moreover, during the pandemic, it is more difficult for him to promote his business due to limited space of movement. “Currently, I sell my products online. Yes, it's a good income. Orders from outside the city are also increasing," he said.

In the midst of existing limitations, Judi remains grateful and does not forget to share with others such as by creating an orphanage and deprived shelter at his home. "Alhamdulillah, little by little the income from my business can be allocated to good deeds. It’s my dream to manage a shelter for orphans and the needy," said Judi. with the provided capital assistance, Judi also plans to buy raw materials to increase the number of his products.

Judi is one of the many MSME owners who are assisted by the benefactors’ waqf. In addition to empowering MSME owners, it is hoped that this capital assistance can also trigger beneficiaries to continue to donate, as has been done by Judi.[]
