ACTNews, CIREBON — Wahyu is only seven years old. However, the boy from Cirebon has never hesitated to join humanitarian actions by MRI-ACT. He loves to help others.

When MRI team visited a woman who suffers from lung disease, Wahyu also joined the team. He helped to unload various aid to be delivered to the woman. Wahyu seemed so passionate while volunteering.

“In the beginning, I used to bring Wahyu to ACT Cirebon office. We introduced him to the purpose of social activities that we usually do because it is very helpful and beneficial for many people,” said Hartono, Wahyu’s uncle who is an MRI Cirebon volunteer, Wednesday (11/3/2021).

Hartono added that introducing Wahyu to humanitarian actions with other volunteers was not without reason. He wants his nephew to be brave to meet people and have a lot of friends.

“Wahyu’s first activity as a volunteer was when he joined to sell secondhand clothes in front of our office which result was used for other humanitarian actions,” said Hartono. Wahyu is now in 1st grade of elementary school. He joins the activity only during his school holiday.

Subandi, Head of MRI Cirebon, said that currently, Wahyu often joins the patient assistance program by Mobile Social Rescue handled by his uncle, Hartono. Wahyu doesn’t join every activity of Mobile Social Rescue. However, Subandi hopes that volunteerism can introduce Wahyu to the act of kindness and become his provision in life.[]
