ACTNews, GAZA - Israeli rockets hit Al-Durrah Hospital,
a children's hospital, in Gaza. The attack caused severe damage to the hospital
and injured eight children who were being treated, as reported by dr. Ahmad Al
Najar, an Aksi Cepat Tanggap partner, on Saturday (12/26) afternoon.
“Al-Durrah Hospital is close to the
Indonesian Clinic, and we have received many calls to evacuate a number of
children from the hospital to their house. However, our clinic is still closed
in compliance with the Ministry of Health’s appeal to stop the spread of
Covid-19,” Ahmad explained.
WAFA Palestinian news agency reported that
Israeli warplanes fired five missiles east of Tuffah Neighborhood, Gaza City,
injuring a child and a youth with shrapnel and glass. Apart from the hospital, the plane also badly
damaged the national disability center run by the Palestinian Ministry of
Social Development.
Fire broke out at the location of the
attack. Firefighters worked all night to put out the fire in the attack that
happened an hour after midnight. Electricity has also been cut off to several
areas east of Gaza. []
