ACTNews, SOUTH JAKARTA – Residents in South Jakarta’s Kebayoran Lama were very happy when Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT)’s Humanity Food Bus arrived at Kodim (Military District Command) 0504 on Friday (8/6/2021) afternoon. The bus came to deliver meal packages to the local residents gathering at the Kodim headquarters.
"Thanks for the food. It smells good. My son really likes it,” said Nita, holding her son. She received two meal packages for her and her child.
ACT distributed food to residents of Kebayoran Lama who were waiting to get vaccinated at the Kodim (Military District Command) Headquarters. This meal distribution marks ACT's support for the vaccination program as a measure to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia.
Muhamad Hoirudin of ACT Program Department said that the food made by a five-star hotel chef was also distributed to underprivileged residents around Kebayoran Lama, including from small traders Public Facility Maintenance Agency workers.
"This food is delicious as it is nutritious. Insha Allah, it will help strengthen their immune system," he explained
Hoirudin added that the Humanity Food Bus would continue to visit more areas to distribute meal packages to the needy to satisfy their hunger.
