ACTNews, SURABAYA – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Surabaya Humanity Medical Services Team organized a Free Mobile Health Services. This action is part of a series of events from the Free Health Service, which is going on tour in Surabaya's 31 districts. It was the third implementation, which took place on Sunday (3/6/2022) at Jalan Ketintang Baru Gang 2 No. 45A, RW. 002, Gayungan District, Surabaya City.
Ikatan Senat Mahasiswa Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (ISMKMI) East Java regional, Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah (IMM) Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya, and Students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya collaborate on this program.
Aulia Atma from ACT Surabaya's Humanity Medical Services Team conveyed complaints from residents that most of them had aches and pains, some had high sugar and uric acid. “First, we register, then do the initial screening and then check blood pressure, uric acid, sugar, cholesterol, and listen to other complaints. After that, we give medicine and consultation,” she said.
Aulia Atma added that the Humanity Medical Services Team also visited the homes of several elderlies. "We carried out health checks on several elderly people in the Ketintang area because they could not walk," added Aulia.
Tisna, a representative from RW 2 Ketintang Baru, stated that the residents were very excited about this program. "An event like this is extremely beneficial to residents because many people complain about being sick. Today, we received health services, medicines, masks, and hand sanitizers," she explained. Tisna also hopes that such events will continue in the future.
