REGENCY – Land shifts that occurred in Cigadel Village, RT 04/03, Sukawangi
Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency damaged houses and roads that
connect the villages.
The residents
whose houses were damaged evacuated to the evacuation sites that have been set
up.
Sukawangi Village
Head Budianto said to Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) that as of Tuesday (11/16/2021),
221 residents from 63 families had evacuated from their home villages of
Cigendal, Selawangi, Ganda, Cibuluh, Ciawi, and Rawa Bakti.
"Currently,
the land, especially in Cigandal village, is still prone to shifting especially
when it rains,” said Budianto.
The evacuees are
in urgent need of staple food amid their dire circumstances.
"The items that are urgently needed by the evacuees are foods such as rice, eggs, side dishes, and other staple foods," Budianto added.

ACT and MRI Distribute Aid
ACT immediately
responded to the disaster in Sukawangi. Along with Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia
(MRI) volunteers, they distributed aid packages to the affected residents.
Mahatir ACT East
Nogor Program Department said that they have distributed basic needs such
as rice, drinking water, soap, and gloves.
“They are still in
an urgent need of other basic needs. We are inviting you to take part in
helping the disaster victims," said Mahatir.[]
