ACTNews, BOGOR DISTRICT – Lumbung Air Wakaf, drinking-water plants managed by Global Wakaf - ACT, continues to produce Waqf Drinking Water to support Ramadan Food Alms Movement this year. One of Lumbung Air Wakafs is located in Cijeruk, Bogor, West Java that operates in collaboration with PT Harazaki Surya Abadi.
“There are 16 locations of Lumbung Air Wakaf. These mineral water plants support the production of Waqf Drinking Water. Global Wakaf-ACT targets to produce nearly 200 thousand boxes. And Waqf Drinking Water will be distributed to 2 million beneficiaries,” said Moch Nurul Ramadhan from Global Wakaf team.
Ramadan Food Alms Movement targets underprivileged people, various government institutions, mosques, schools, and Islamic boarding schools. “This is a very good initiative to help more people in need during Ramadan,” explained Nurul.
In one day, Lumbung Air Wakaf could produce around 12 thousand boxes of drinking water. The production was done in three shifts. General Manager of PT Harazaki Surya Abadi said that Ramadan Food Alms Movement program also brought benefits to the factory.
“For us, this program is a blessing because we have abundant water sources. It will be wasted if we don’t process it. Alhamdulillah, we can run our machines, and our employees get the additional job through this movement,” said Momon.
PT Harazaki Surya Abadi also involved itself in a social program by providing drinking water to one of Islamic boarding schools. Through Lumbung Air Wakaf program, they hoped to spread kindness as well. ”We hope this water can be useful for many people and be enjoyed by the community,” hoped Momon.
Lumbung Air Wakaf was introduced by Global Wakaf at the end of 2019. Waqf Drinking Water was distributed to the community for free. It was funded by the management of community waqf funds. This product continues to be widely produced to support Ramadan Food Alms Movement initiated by Aksi Cepat Tanggap.
