ACTNews, WEST BANDUNG – Global Wakaf-ACT and Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) Bandung inaugurated Waqf Well and sanitary facility in Madinah Islamic Boarding School, Sindangkerta Village, Sindangkerta District, West Bandung, in August.

Previously, Madinah Islamic Boarding School had inadequate sanitary facilities. This toilet was used by students and residents for daily worship purposes.

Global Wakaf-ACT and MRI also implemented an economic empowerment program. The team gave dozens of chickens and planted trees around the school to be cultivated by students and residents. Global Wakaf-ACT and MRI handed over learning kits such as books and educational toys for students.

Madinah Islamic Boarding School welcomed this much-needed assistance. Previously, the toilet was no longer suitable for use, and the water source from the old well was not clear.

Trisna Adi Permana, Branch Manager of Global Wakaf-ACT Bandung, said this well was a donation from benefactors. Even more, water is a source of life.

"Alhamdulillah, the construction of the Waqf Well has been completed today. The water can be used by students and residents. After the sanitary facility is completed, it can support community activities. Hopefully, this effort will also be able to support the learning of students who will become the next generation of our nation," he said.[]
