
ACTNews, GORONTALO – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) team received a video showing a
bridge being destroyed and swept away by the strong current of the Rone River
in Bone Bolango, Gorontalo, Thursday (6/11). The flooding caused by the
torrential rain has led to a quite severe impact as many houses and public
facilities were damaged.
Another video
showed how the flood hit the settlement areas at night. Some residents were unable
to get out of their homes that were trapped in flood and heavy rain. There were
also houses that were swept away by the flooding.
The locals
described that the flooding happened since Thursday noon and had not receded
until later that evening. Until now, ACT and MRI have continued to monitor the
latest condition of the flood.

Antaranews, the flooding in Bone Bolango damaged settlements and public
facilities. The most severely destroyed houses were those on the banks of the
river. Some tourist attractions, including hot springs, have also been flooded.
