ACTNews, KATINGAN – Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) and Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Central Kalimantan distributed meal packages to flood victims in Tanjung Hara Village of Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan. The meal packages were a form of support for the disaster survivors whose houses and belongings have been submerged by the flood.
"Alhamdulillah, the team was dispatched to the disaster-affected areas to conduct an assessment and provide food assistance in Tanjung Hara Village, one of the flood-affected villages in Seruyan Regency. Dozens of families benefitted from the meal distribution,” said MRI Central Kalimantan Coordinator Adi Cahyono.
The meal distribution took place on Wednesday (8/25/2021). Adi continued that they don’t know when the flood will recede. Due to the severe rain, the headwater of the river overflowed and caused a flood. In the flood, 11 districts and 3 regencies were affected.
