Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia Volunteers Deliver Meal Packages to Central Kalimantan’s Tanjung Hara Village

Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) and Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Central Kalimantan volunteers distributed meal packages to flood victims in Tanjung Hara Village, Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan. The flood has hampered the locals’ activities and submerged their houses and belongings.

ACTNews, KATINGAN – Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) and Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Central Kalimantan distributed meal packages to flood victims in Tanjung Hara Village of Seruyan Regency, Central Kalimantan. The meal packages were a form of support for the disaster survivors whose houses and belongings have been submerged by the flood.

"Alhamdulillah, the team was dispatched to the disaster-affected areas to conduct an assessment and provide food assistance in Tanjung Hara Village, one of the flood-affected villages in Seruyan Regency. Dozens of families benefitted from the meal distribution,” said MRI Central Kalimantan Coordinator Adi Cahyono.

The meal distribution took place on Wednesday (8/25/2021). Adi continued that they don’t know when the flood will recede. Due to the severe rain, the headwater of the river overflowed and caused a flood. In the flood, 11 districts and 3 regencies were affected. []
