ACTNews, BLORA - Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) Blora dan Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Central Java collaborated with Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Blora to provide staple food assistance to Street Vendors (PKL) affected by Emergency PPKM. Street Vendors in Blora Square, Kridosono, and Taman Seribu Lampu Cepu received the assistance on Sunday (7/18/2021).
Representatives of the local PKL association symbolically received the assistance. Head of MRI of Blora Regency, Tio Ikhtiar, appreciated this collaboration.
“Thanks for the collaboration, Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Blora. Hopefully, this social activity can help many people, especially street vendors who are affected by Covid," Tio added.
The Coordinator of Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Blora Sugito explained that they distributed thousands of kilograms of rice. "Today, we distributed 2,000 kg of free rice from benefactors, MRI Blora, and ACT to street vendors in Blora Regency who were affected by Emergency PPKM," explained Sugito, a Founder of this community.
Secretary of Paguyuban Pedagang Kaki Lima Alun-Alun Blora Endah Puji Handayani says there are 168 street vendors in Blora Square. They feel the impact of the Emergency PPKM. Despite all that, they always support the government's efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19, including implementing 5M, one of which reduces community mobility.
They were grateful for this assistance because it has helped amid the current difficulties. “Thanks to MRI, ACT, and Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Blora, for giving free rice to street vendors. There are 168 street vendors here. On behalf of the street vendors, thank you for the help," said Endah.
The Chairman of PKL Paguyuban PKL Kridosono Blora Trimo Jaya expressed his gratitude for the free food operation carried out by MRI, ACT, and Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Blora. "I accept this assistance.Thank you for ACT, MRI, and Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Blora," he said.
