ACTNews, GOWA — Ibu Joho burst into
tears when the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) South Sulawesi team visited her house
in Pandanga Hamlet, Bontolempangan Village, Bontolempangan District, Gowa
Regency on Thursday (5/12/2022). The team paid a visit to deliver food packages
and financial assistance entrusted by the donors.
Mrs. Joho was crying happy tears because many have visited her and
promised assistance but never come back.
"Alhamdulillah, I didn't expect to receive assistance from ACT.
Your visit to help me makes me very grateful," said Mrs. Joho, shedding
tears.
The financial assistance will be used not only to pay for her basic
needs but also her child’s medical expenses. “Thank you to all of you who have
helped me. May Allah reward you with double rewards," added Mrs. Joho.
Food packages in the form of rice, cooking oil, biscuits, eggs, and toiletries
were given as a form of support for Mrs. Joho who is her family’s breadwinner.
She lives with her child who is paralyzed after accidently consuming poison. Her husband passed away before her child was born.

She used to work as a farmer. Unfortunately, one day she had an
accident that broke her hand. This has sadly hampered her livelihood.
“At times, I feel desperate, and all I can do is cry and lament what
has happened to me. I have a paralyzed child, and I have to work hard for our
needs,” she added.
