ACTNews, BEKASI – Ustazah Asmaroh (60)'s enthusiasm to continue guiding the children to recite the Quran does not subside even though she is no longer able to walk long distances due to her old age. For her, only death can stop her from looking for provisions in the afterlife.

She teaches the Quran for free to children in Margahayu, East Bekasi District, Bekasi City. According to Ustazah Asmaroh, sharing knowledge is like saving good deeds for the afterlife whose benefits can be obtained after death.

"I shouldn't feel tired, even if I do not get paid, because this is for provision in the afterlife. I sell merchandise at the stall to meet the food needs," she said when met by ACT Bekasi City team. The team provided financial assistance from National Movement for Indonesian Preachers’ Prosperity, Tuesday (10/5/2021).

Ustazah Muryani (54) is a Quran teacher in Gang Cempaka Mas, Bintara, West Bekasi District, Bekasi City. She receives a salary of IDR 250 to 500 thousand per week from recitation assembly.

“Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the assembly has been canceled. My husband works as a security guard with a salary of IDR 700 thousand. We use the money to meet the food needs,” said a mother of four children.
