ACTNews, JAKARTA – During the Covid-19 pandemic, maintaining the body's immunity is very important. A good immune system can reduce the possibility of being infected by the virus. The Coronavirus pandemic has affected more than 2.7 million people in Indonesia. One way to maintain the body's immunity is to consume nutritious foods.

There have been cases of COVID-19 reinfection in people who have been cured. Therefore, immunity must be considered. Eating nutritious food is one of the ways to prevent COVID-19 reinfection.

To provide nutritious food to the community, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Tangerang City distributed free meals through the Free Food Operation on Wednesday (7/14/2021). Humanity Food Trucks came to several villages in Tangerang, namely Batu Ceper, Kebon Besar, Batu Jaya, and Poris Jaya Villages.

Humanity Food Truck produced hundreds of packages of delicious and nutritious ready-to-eat meals and distributed them directly to the homes of Covid-19 survivors in these villages. ACT Tangerang also distributed these meals to self-isolating residents.

“We also distributed food to orphans and poor residents there. Alhamdulillah, the distribution went smoothly with the assistance from the volunteers, the communities, and the head of villages," said Laily Salamah of ACT Tangerang City program team.

Laily explained that residents happily welcomed ACT's program in their area. Many residents expressed their gratitude to ACT and Generous Friends who continued to pay attention to their needs amid the Covid-19 pandemic. "We hope that Generous Friends’ assistance can continue to flow so that similar actions can continue. It helps residents who have difficulty meeting their food needs during the pandemic," Laily hoped. []
