ACTNews, PADANG - The Padang City Government gave IDR 100,000,000 for the Palestinians through ACT West Sumatra on Friday (12/6).
Padang Mayor Mahyeldi Ansharullah said, the support for Palestine from the Indonesian society will continue until the end of time. "Right now, Allah is witnessing how much we care about our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Allah has spread for us the way of charity and jihad at this time. It’s now up to us whether or not we want to take the way that Allah has spread, and we shall continue to pray for our brothers and sisters there so that the struggle to defend Al-Aqsa never relents.
The donation for Palestine was handed over during the monthly zikr gathering held by Padang City government officials with Ustaz Muhammad Zulfikarullah, Lc, MA, which was invited directly from ACT’s Central Office in Jakarta.
"Palestine is not doing well right now. Electricity is available only 4 hours a day, and only 2-3% of clean water there is suitable for consumption. This is because the bombs dropped by Israel contain chemicals that can damage the environment," said Ustaz Muhammad Zulfikarullah. He invited the entire community to provide assistance and the best prayers for the Palestinian people.
Deni Marlesi as ACT West Sumatra’s Head of Marketing Department hoped that the donations collected can benefit the Palestinian people. "Thank you very much to the Government of Padang City, which has shown their sympathy for our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” concluded Deni.
