ACTNews, GAZA — A happy smile full of gratitude radiated from the faces of Moussa Abdul Haqq Alloush, Muhammad Fahim Azzam, and Taha Muhammad Aljamal. Their hope to have a tuk-tuk (motorcycle cart) came true. The three of them were entrusted with managing and maintaining motorcycle carts from Indonesian benefactors through Waqf for Palestinian Business Capital initiated by Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT).
One of the beneficiaries, Moussa Abdul Haqq, expressed thanks for the trust placed in him. He will use Motorcycle Cart Waqf for trading.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you, benefactors and ACT, who have entrusted the motorcycle cart to me. Hopefully, this is useful for my family and will be written as good deeds for the benefactors.” said the father of eight family members.
ACT Gaza Branch Manager Tahany Ahmed Qassim said that beneficiaries would use the motorcycle cart for entrepreneurship. Through this capital assistance, they could offer goods or services.
“Alhamdulillah, we have handed over assistance of motor carts for micro-businesses in Palestine in mid-March. Apart from capital assistance, there will be supervision in the future. This business capital is expected to improve the economy and welfare of the families of beneficiaries, especially in approaching Ramadan,” said Tahany, Friday (4/2/2021)

Since March 2020, 42,900 Gazans have lost their source of income due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The economic condition in Gaza has also been devastated by the blockade carried out by Israel.
In Ramadan 2021, humanitarian actions in Palestine will be more massive. “The spirit of Ramadan Actions Without Limits with ACT is manifested in real action. Various humanitarian actions such as distribution of iftar, food packages, and Humanity Food Truck will be carried out,” said Tahany.
