ACTNews, MAKASSAR – This year's Ramadan momentum continues to be an opportunity for Muslims to share goodness, like Paskibraka Stemzha SMKN 2 Makassar, for example, has done. During a simultaneous iftar, Paskibraka Stemzha SMKN 2 Makassar and Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) handed food packages to orphans and poor children.
The event took place in the schoolyard of SMKN 2 Makassar, Jl. Pancasila, Tamalate District, Makassar City on Saturday (4/16/2022). A total of 100 orphans and underprivileged children from an orphanage in Makassar attended the event. The team gave clothes, staple food, milk, and Iftar dishes.
According to Muhammad Eid al-Adhar, the annual event could not be held without the participation of alumni from the Purna Paskibraka Stemzha SMKN 2 Makassar. BMM (Baitul Maal Muamalat), Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI), and ACT were among the social institutions that took part.
"We think that by collaborating in this way, paskibraka members will be able to accomplish more good things in terms of kindness. We want to make hundreds of orphans, who are also present in person, happy in collaboration with ACT Makassar," Adhar stated.
To continue to spread kindness, ACT South Sulawesi invites Generous Friends to participate in supporting other Ramadan programs. "We also invite philanthropists to provide Iftar and Suhoor packages. Humanitarian assistance can be delivered through the Indonesia Dermawan page or the BSI account at 716 417 0645 and confirmed through Whatsapp at number 0821 9224 1414 or by visiting the @act_sulsel Instagram page," said Firman from the ACT South Sulawesi Program Team.
