PLN Batubara Cares for Women MSME Owners in Jakarta

ACTNews, JAKARTA – PLN Batubara is one of the subsidiaries of PT PLN (Persero) which provides coal to supply power plants in Indonesia. PT PLN Batubara collaborated with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) to carry out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in Community Empowerment in the form of business capital and entrepreneurship training provision for female MSME owners in South Jakarta.

The Corporate Secretary of PLN Batubara, Fanina Andini, said that PLN Batubara trusted ACT as a humanitarian agency with experience in professional CSR management. In addition, ACT is also one of PLN’s partners which has had many collaboration with PLN Group subsidiaries. 

“We hope that PLN Batubara can continue collaborating and synergizing in the humanitarian field according to Corporate Social Responsibility and supporting the effort to achieve Sustainable Development Goals especially in economic growth,” said Fanina.

Fanina added, the collaboration was a form of support for the Provincial Government of Jakarta's Large-Scale Social Collaboration (KSBB). She hopes KSBB can benefit many MSMEs.

ACT’s Manager of Partnership, Maspalah explained that the collaboration between PLN Batubara and ACT has been implemented by giving business capital and business training worth IDR 157 million to 10 MSME owners in Jakarta.

“PLN Batubara has helped MSME owners who are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic through this CSR program. We hope that the collaboration will continue and have a big impact on the community, especially the mothers and women MSME owners," said Maspalah.[]
