Quran Copies for Syrian Refugees and IDP

A number of aid programs have been carried out for the Syrians, one of which is the distribution of Quran copies to replace their damaged or worn-out Quran.

The Quran distribution took place in Reyhanli and Idlib on January 27 and 28. (ACTNews)

ACTNews, REYHANLI, IDLIB - Syrian children in one of the orphanages in Reyhanli had been waiting for the arrival of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) team on Monday (1/27). That day, the team brought hundreds of Qur'an copies for these children to recite.

Ahmed, one of the children, recited a number of chapters from the Quran, practicing his memorization. Firdaus Guritno from the Global Humanity Response (GHR) – Aksi Cepat Tanggap team said that the distribution of the Quran copies was a form of support for the Syrian children. "In the past, they only read from one copy of the Quran that they share. Alhamdulillah, they can now have their own Quran copies, "said Firdaus. They were displaced, and they did not carry many items, including their own Quran copies. Some of their Quran copies are damaged and worn out.

"There are 500 children and teenagers who received the Quran copies. We hope that the Quran copies can be well used," Firdaus said. The distribution of Quran copies was carried out from Monday (1/27) to Tuesday (1/28). The beneficiaries included Syrian IDP and Syrian refugees in Reyhanli, Turkey. []
