ACTNews, BANJARBARU – Eid ul-Adha 1442 AH was a meaningful day for the community, especially the farmers in Kampung Baru, Landasan Ulin Utara Village, Banjarbaru City. Most of the farmers who are survivors of the floods in South Kalimantan in early 2021 could enjoy the Qurbani meat from the benefactors of Global Qurban-ACT.
Seniman is among the farmers who benefitted from the Qurbani meat distribution. Seniman has been working as a farmer since 1990. The flood caused a considerable loss for him. Seniman was packing the vegetables he planted when ACT met hum.
He was happy because he rarely enjoyed meat. “Alhamdulillah, I am happy to get this Qurbani meat. I can only taste this Qurbani meat during Eid-ul-Adha,” said the Seniman.
Ali Ridho of Masyarakat Relawan Indonesia (MRI) Landasan Ulin Utara was also happy seeing the enthusiasm of beneficiaries. Under the scorching sun, Ridho said that Seniman is one of the farmers who were affected by the flood.

“Almost most of the farmers who are the beneficiaries of the qurbani distribution are flood survivors. The flood submerged the entire agricultural land,” said Ali.
Qurbani in Landasan Ulin Utara Village was held at the yard of TPQ Bayt Al-Hikmah Unit 156. It was the first time it was held there. The implementation of the slaughter involved volunteers from MRI Landasan Ulin Utara and residents.
“This is our first time sacrificing Qurbani animals with simple preparation. Alhamdulillah, the slaughter of the Qurbani animals went smoothly. The beneficiaries received Qurbani meat," Ali added.
Branch Manager of ACT South Kalimantan, Zainal Arifin, said that until the third Tashreeq day, Global Qurban-ACT continues to distribute Qurbani meat to other areas. "Among them are in Barito Kuala Regency, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, and Tanah Laut Regency. Our volunteer team is ready to carry out the distribution of Qurbani meat from the generosity of the Indonesian people for our beneficiaries in South Kalimantan," said Zainal.
Zainal ensured that Global Qurban-ACT continues to serve people who want to perform Qurbani, even though they are passing the momentum of Eid ul-Adha. "We still open opportunities for people in South Kalimantan to be able to perform their Qurbani on Tashreeq days like today," said Zainal.
