ACTNews, SUKABUMI – Global Qurban-ACT strives to reach many impoverished residents to receive the best quality Qurbani meat from benefactors. On the second day of Tashreeq, Qurbani was carried out in Cikundul Landfill, Saluyu Village, Lembur Situ, Sukabumi. Global Qurban-ACT team distributed thousands of meat packages.

"Alhamdulillah, ACT-MRI Sukabumi team has carried out slaughtering and distributing Qurbani meat around Cikundul Landfill. The Deputy Chairperson of Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Sukabumi, Representative of Head of MUI District, Cibeureum Military District Command Sector, Head of Cikundul Village, and other officials attended the event. Everything went smoothly from slaughtering to distributing,” said Resdiana Pratama from ACT Sukabumi Program Team, Thursday (7/22/2021).

Resdiana explained, not only scavengers who were the target of distribution, but also casual workers, residents around Cikundul Landfill, and other underprivileged communities in seven districts in Sukabumi. A total of 7,500 people felt the benefits of this Qurbani meat. Most of them rarely eat meat dishes. Hence, they were grateful for the Qurbani meat given by Global Qurban-ACT.

"Happy smiles are visible on the faces of the scavengers, residents, and casual workers of Cikundul Landfill. They are grateful for the Qurbani meat they have received. Hopefully, the generous friends who perform Qurbani through Global Qurban-ACT can get a reward from Allah SWT," said Resdiana.

Resdiana also appreciated all volunteers who were involved in this action. They worked tirelessly under the scorching sun. Dozens of volunteers distributed generous Qurbani meat from one house to another. The volunteers and the team on duty also did not complain about the garbage smell in the landfill. "According to them, this garbage is the source of income of the residents here. If the residents can withstand the smell, the volunteers will also do the same thing,” conclude Resdiana.
