
ACTNews, BAIDOA - Hundreds of qurbani animals were slaughtered by Global
Qurban - ACT for the poor and needy in Africa. Thousands of families benefited
from the qurbani distribution.
On Sunday (8/2),
around 40 qurbani animals were slaughtered for IDP in Baidoa, Somalia by Global
Qurban – Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) with the help of the locals. The meat was
then distributed to IDP in their camps.

Global Qurban – ACT’s Person In Charge for Africa reported, Baidoa is one of
the locations that regularly receive qurbani meat from Global Qurban – ACT because
the region is often hit by prolonged drought and acute famine.
"Somalian
IDP desperately need humanitarian assistance, including foodstuffs. They cannot
eat meat all the time. Therefore, this Eid al-Adha, we pun an effort to make
them happy, ”said Faradiba.
Baidoa is the
capital of Somalia's Southern Bay region. Baidoa incurred significant damage in
the early 1990s, following the start of the civil war. []
