Renovation of Darul Ilmi Mosque Completed Ahead of the Holy Month

Darul Ilmi Mosque in Bendungan Village, East Bogor, was completed and inaugurated after four months of construction. The prayer room building was previously prone to collapse and would be dangerous if the community continued to use it.

ACTNews, BOGOR REGENCY – Darul Ilmi Mosque in Bendungan Village, Jonggol District, Bogor Regency, has finally been renovated as the holy month of Ramadan approaches. On Saturday (3/5/2022), ACT and residents inaugurated the new mosque building.

Previously, the prayer room was in danger of collapsing due to a shaky foundation. Tornadoes and floods threatened the structure during the rainy season. The wood used to make the base was cracked. It is dangerous if the building is still in use by the community.

Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) East Bogor and Generous Friends worked closely to renovate the entire prayer room building. It took less than four months to rebuild the mosque building.

Ustaz Acep Wahyudin, director of the mosque board, expressed gratitude to ACT East Bogor Team and Generous Friends.

"Thank you for your help to the ACT Team and Generous Friends who always support us through prayer and financial assistance. Alhamdulillah, we can completely construct this new mosque. Best wishes to everyone," he said.

Ustaz Acep further explained that after the mosque has been renovated, the next task is to prosper this mosque. “It is easy to build a new building as long as we have money. The hardest part is reviving and maintaining the mosque. Many mosques have no congregations. Hopefully, we consistence to make this mosque prosperous," he explained.

Mahatir Qadafi of the ACT East Bogor team also expressed gratitude to the benefactors. "Alhamdulillah, we can inaugurate Darul Ilmi Mosque before the Holy Month of Ramadan. The inauguration ceremony took place on the first anniversary of ACT East Bogor. Thank you to the Generous Friends who contributed to the construction of the Darul Ilmi Mosque. Hopefully, it will become a prolonged charity for all of us," He concluded. []
